June 14th OPENING DAY AT THE MARKET
The Wyandotte Farmers Market opens at 12:00 noon today. We will have kids activities from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. Farmer John and his Barnyard Express will be visiting the market from 1:00 pm to 3:00 p.m. Join us in kicking off a great season for the Wyandotte Farmers Market!
June 21st MUSIC AT THE MARKET
We will have FREE LIVE music at the Market from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Pete 'Big Dog' Fetters will entertain us with slide guitar and harmonica blues.
July 5th ARTS AND SCRAPS
Kids can craft with recycled materials for FREE at the Wyandotte Farmers Market from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
July 19th MUSIC AT THE MARKET
We will have FREE LIVE music at the Market from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Great American Banjo Player Al Allotta performs at the market!
August 2nd FARM TO FORK
Join us for a cooking demonstration at the Market beginning at 1:00 p.m. Downtown Restaurants will dazzle you with culinary delights made from products at our market.
August 9th GET YOUR ZUCCHINIS!
Don't forget to pick up your Zucchini at the market TODAY for the Zuccini Race on August 16th.
August 16th ZUCCHINI 500
Join us from 5:00 to 7:00 pm for Zucchini 500. Kids of all ages are welcome to participate in this exciting event. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative and fastest zucchini car. Kids may arrive early at the market to make a zucchini car on-site or bring one that they've worked on at home.
September 15th MUSIC AT THE MARKET
We will have FREE LIVE music at the Market from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Jazz guitarist Rob Bourassa performs today!
September 27th FARM TO FORK
Join us for a cooking demonstration at the Market beginning at 1:00 p.m. Downtown Restaurants will dazzle you with culinary delights made from products at our market.
October 11th GET YOUR INGREDIENTS!
Don't forget to purchase your ingredients for our 2012 Cookoff! Registration forms for our 2012 Cookoff will be available on-line in August. This year's theme is Apple Pie!
October 18th FARMERS FAIR
Join us for our Farmer's Fair: A taste of the country in the heart of the city. Activities for the whole family from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Corn schucking contest begins at 6:00 pm. Extreme pumpkin carving demonstrations. Judging for our bakeoff starts at 5:30 pm. We'll have sack races, three-legged race, tug-of-war, produce contest, bounce and other activities for the whole family. Farmer John & his Barnyard Express at the Market from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Bake-off registration forms will be available after August 20th on our website!
